In all fairness, I went to this AAA location to renew my CT driver's license. My expectations were that even though this location was farther from my home than the CT DMV, I would avoid the long wait. CT DMV is like herding cattle and typical waiting of over an hour. When I arrived I was quickly greeted by one of several AAA workers there to quickly take the $8 processing fee. I was handed a number and took a seat with about six other people waiting. As I watched the activity I noticed that there was only one person processing the license renewals. It took about an hour for my turn and it took all of 5 minutes to process me and take the $72 renewal fee. The few people ahead of me had various issues or questions that created the bottleneck. So the extra drive and the extra AAA processing fee saved me nothing over going through the cattle call at DMV. I was very disappointed.
