They don't answer the phone and I needed to know if the notary public was there and how much it cost me to sign a dovument in front of them.

Came to try to switch my license to an NC license since I'm originally out of state. Waited an hour and a half just for them to tell me they couldn't transfer my license without my birth certificate because my old license only had my middle initial. I wasn't trying to get a real id and they didn't care, nor did they ask me for a choice. They wouldn't even accept a declaration page showing my insurance when another DMV clearly said that it was enough to show proof of insurance. They even waited until my mother in law left to call our insurance company to fax a form over to tell me that I couldn't get my license. By the time they finally got to me it was 5 o'clock and it felt like they were rushing through people and coming up with everything they could to be able to leave. There were other people who were there that had been there all day. Even a couple that recently moved were denied because she didn't have her birth certificate. On top of all this they felt rude and completely unprofessional.

I have to say , they are without a doubt the most unfriendly business I’ve ever experienced, they don’t answer their phone, if you leave a message they don’t get back too you, Only God knows how much we miss Elaine In Murfreesboro, that lady was the best Represenative DMV COUL EVER have. I despise having to go to see the Ahoskie DMV. With that said , if I could remove the one star, I would because they Don’t deserve one . Tom

No one ever answers the phone. It rings 3-4 times and then a prompt starts. The prompt has a listing for everyone to contact for all issues, upon contacting the other offices they all point back to Ahoskie DMV for the issue I explain. No help at all!!!

Have called multiple times with no answer. Why have a phone if you are not going to answer it?! Not everyone has the time and/or ability to drive there just to ask a simple question. Learn to answer the phone, even if you have to ask them to hold for a moment.
