This agency did not explain details of payment issues I had so I could accurately resolve it. As a result after having Allstate insurance for 40 years my policy, for the first time ever, was cancelled. While I was confused about the payment situation and it was my responsibility to fix the problem. I called Palmers office twice and thought it was resolved ( my credit card also thinks it was). Got a cancellation notice today that I’m uninsured since the 29th of December!! The reason to have an agent is to help and communicate with there’s any issues or problems, otherwise why not just go with online. Definitely go somewhere else if you want a helpful agency!!!

Well where to begin. I'm 66 years old I've have been with Allstate since I was 16 years of age . The first seven years I was on my parents insurance and I paid them. Starting in 1974 It was all on me. My first agent was a neighbor and good friend Fred Dominski. That was how it used to be in the good old days . Your agent was your friend and almost family. Well since,I have ( through attrition) gone through eight agents . All has been well until now. I'm really not enjoying Allstate anymore. This Lake Forest angency has been deteriorating. It wasn't too bad when Brad Palmer ( the father ) was running it but since he has turned it over To his son it is aweful. The office is run solely by kids now . The only concern in that office is payments and rate increasesThey have made mistakes and let the ball drop on every cituation that has come up with us .The latest being I sprung the door on my truck. My fault! I reported it to Brayden and he promised me it was all minor and my insurance would not increase . Well I paid my $500 deductible and now threes months later my insurance is going up from $775 every 6 months to $1170 every 6 months for 3 years. The damage report to Allstate was $1127.I was upset. I tried calling, but forget about it ! Braydon is always on the phone or out of the office. I mean it ! I wasn't going to be denied so I went to the office ! ( My wife called in before hand and on of the kids was rude to her ). When I got there I saw two kids at the two desks no Braydon. One of the girls called Braydon on the phone and that was the only way I could reach him. I confronted him on my rate increase ( which he was apparently proud of ) and he uttered, Mr . Danna you have been with us for 43 years , for sure I'm going to handle this for you! I 'm calling up corporate right now and I will fix this . I will call you right back. Well I knew better! If you read Braydon's resume he has gotten a BS degree from somewhere. Well, that I believe ! He is full of BS !!! I never got a phone call because he never did anything to remedy my complaint. Instead what he did do was tell one of the kids to call me at closing time ! I recieved a phone call from a girl at 4:50 pm telling that Braydon asked me to call and tell you he couldn't do anything for you. Well I'm shopping now! I meet with two agents from two different insurance companies and they both do their research and ask me why didn't you buy down the claim ! I had no idea what they were talking about . They asked what kind of agents are you insured with ? All you had to do was write a check for $128 to Allstate and the claim woul have been under $1000 and there would have been no rate increase. No way in hell is Braydon going to do any of that effort for a client ! You can't even get him to call you back ! To tell you the truth It has been 4 days now and I still have not heard a word from Braydon! Well I called his dad Brad at the Longbeach office and got apologized to 20 times ! They will tell you they are sorry, they will ask you not to switch agents and above all they will plead with you not to switch insurance companies ! But, will they help you , NO! Will they fix anything,No ! Will they call you back? NO ! Brad never got back to me either. ( Like father, like son ) I called corporate! The are located in Illinois! I told my story to them and a day later I revived a call from Brad Palmer apologizing to no end that I should have not had to call corporate in this matter ! Never once telling me anything about my rate increase just that they dropped the ball on this one! They also stated that I was a wonderful customer and never missed a payment in 43 years ! ( MONEY ) . Well they dropped the ball on our homeowners insurance! We have been paying for approximately $100K over coverage forever. They had my square footage wrong on our dwelling. No rebate ! But Braydon did try to con me into keeping the extra coverage for piece of mind. PEICE OF MIND ? There is more but no room !

I love you guys. I've been with you (in one form or another) since I was 18 (Marilyn Kelly - as she insured my folks!) & now I'm 48! I've referred some folks to you & you now are insuring my son. I love Jennifer Green. She is on top of things & has the patience of an angel :) I'm a receptionist and its so hard for me to take care of personal business on the phone at work so i do most of my communication via email and she's been so patient with me. Once i have a vehicle again - I'll be calling (or emailing) you again :)

I have never experienced an insurance company that will actually give you great service until Palmer Insurance. They keep in touch with you but not to the point that they'll drive you nuts. You get emails letting you know your auto payment will go through in 2 weeks, they will occasionally send you emails about additional services with quotes so you know exactly what it is before starting a conversation, and you can email them for information and an actual employee--not a call center cut and paste reply. Fabulous service and great rates!
