Very poor experience on behalf of allstate and local office. Went in to change my car insurance from a competitor couple weeks ago. I fully disclosed my driving history to allstate, and was approved for insurance that day. I was told it would not cost money to cancel my current insurance that I had with their competitor. Left feeling good about the experience until things quickly went south. When I went to confirm my old coverage was cancelled I was informed by my old insurance company that there was a cancelation fee, unlike what I was told by allstate. Fast forward to a week and half later, I receive a notice from allstate saying they are automatically terminating my new insurance policy due to my driving record, which is the same exact information I disclosed at time of policy. I went to local office to find out what is going on and was told in so many words that "sometimes these things happen"...I have now wasted time, resources, and money and have nothing to show for it except breaking the relationship with my previous insurance company. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
