Client Review on Allstate Insurance Agent: Rocky Hummel

I relocated from Chicago to Seymour and prior to my move I came for 2 weeks to visit. I stopped into the local branch to transfer my IL policy to TN. I provided my BoA bank info which was different from what they had on file. The reason I used a new bank account was because my old bank was only in Chicago and I planned to close it down. I even specifically remember giving the information to Tiffany in the office because at first I thought I didn't have it but then remembered I did. Tiffany's computer was acting up so she was going to update it once she was back up and running so I left the office and got on with my day. A few weeks later I actually shopped around because my premium was jumping a couple hundred dollars and found Progressive was much more affordable. When I emailed the agent to review my policy I never got a response. A few days later I called the corporate office to cancel the policy for which payment had not yet been drafted from my account. Low and behold, the payment was still processed for the renters policy and to top it off it was processed on the Chicago bank account I had intended on closing. I only left that account open to wrap up my last electric and water bill from Chicago and then planned to close it so the balance was jus around $50. When the branch processed the payment on the wrong account I was overdrafted and charged daily fees. I brought the issue to corporate to resolve and was forwarded to the local branch where Tiffany said she'd call me back because *gasp* her computer was messing up. She never did. So I followed up again with corporate and insisted it be handled by them since they don't respond to emails and they don't call me back. After speaking with the rep spoke with Tiffany he told me that I never gave her my BoA account info and that they were closing the matter without reimbursing me for the overdraft fees. So much for treating customers fairly and taking accountability for when your staff screws up. I could've forgiven this had Tiffany just said "you know what? it's completely possible and I have been having system issues and was overwhelmed. I apologize".
