Overall Feedback:
The American Poolplayers Association is a garbage organization that is designed to milk beginning and intermediate players for as much money as possible, while it penalizes anyone who takes pool seriously enough to put in the time to get good at it. Right after I started playing pool two and a half years ago, I played on an APA team for 3 seasons, during which we won two trophies. I started as a three (dropping from 4 to 3 on my first match), but as soon as I progressed and made it to a ranking of 5, I was informed that the numbers weren't working for the team anymore, since the maximum for a five player match is a total of 23. This organization rewards sandbaggers and punishes players who are honest and refuse to throw a match to keep their handicap. Throughout my play with the APA, I paid annual dues and $7 per match. The APA discourages good players, and rewards beginners, intermediate players, and sandbaggers, while it sucks all their dollars down and keeps their belly warm and happy. I know some people who say APA stands for "any pocket asshole," which is a crude commentary on the ridiculous APA rule that does not require you to call the pocket for your shot. This "ASSociation" is a joke, and should not be taken seriously by anyone who wants to be a good player.
