Very disappointed with this branch. Currently moved here from saskatchewan and thought I need an out of provience inspection on my brand new truck. When I went into ask for the paper they never informed me that if my vehicle is 3years or newer and from saskatchewan or British Columbia I don't need an inspection as the government from each provience have an agreement and the inspection is waivered. Now I'm out $210 for the inspection plus $10 for the inspection paper. someone obviously don't know their job or how to keep up with current legislations. I would never have found this out if I had not gone to the westlock branch.

Absolutely horrific. Drive one hour to get there to register an Antique Plate and she says "we don't have any". She furthers it by saying "you should call ahead of time". For a place that deals with license plates, I suppose I should have called to see if they have license plates in stock. I also phoned the Petro-Can on my way home too and asked if they had gas before I left town so I could stop and fill-up....(PS Its summer season in Alberta...people need antique plates, trailer plates, etc).

Not sure why all the bad reviews. I walked in to renew my license and registration.They were quick and pleasant to chat with!And not to mention I walked in just as they were about to take lunch. But whistled me thru. Sometimes a smile goes a long way!Thanks!

Don't spend any time here, just spend the little extra time to go to Westlock. This people are not skilled to do their job.

Avoid this place like the plague. The two female employees are extremely rude and condescending and will go to any length NOT to help you. I had all the right documents (and more!) but I was still told that I needed even more additional documents to renew my I.D. card because one of my documents was in French. Ended up going to Drayden in Westlock with the exact same documents and had no problems whatsoever with my renewal.EDIT: After reading the reply from the owner, I should point out that indeed, I dealt with only one of the ladies directly, but she kept going to see the other lady for advice on my documents and then would return and repeat what the other one had said. She may not have been as rude, but she was equally unhelpful and she did address me directly from the other booth a couple of times, so I stand by my comment. But people don't have to take my word for it, they simply have to read the other reviews.

Terrible, computers are always out of service. Stood in line for 40 minutes to write a 5 minute driving exam only to be told when I got there that this computer wasn't working for writing tests right now and I would have to see the other teller, then I had to wait another 30 minutes for that teller to become available. A previous experience had me waiting in line for 45 min just to be told all computers are now down. Westlock registries has great service, even with the added drive time from Barrhead to Westlock and back a person saves time and sanity.
