I have never spoke with Bill McComb, but only having a few simple request over the years and almost every time the woman who I have spoke to has been rude and unhelpful. I like state farm but cannot recommend this agency unless they change their staff or teach them basic customer service or even manners would be a start. I'll start from the beginning. This was several years ago, I was over 18 and my mother and I wanted to move my vehicle under my name instead of hers how it has been. So I make the call and she says she will contact my mother to verify the change. I find out later that she called my step dad and told him that I was wanting to take over the account for all the vehicles! We did not talk about doing that at all, only for my vehicle. Anyway I make more attempts to get this done, mind you I don't have all day to speak with these people for what should be a simple request, but eventually it is done. So after this when I buy my house to put insurance on it naturally I choose a different agent. So I call and ask politely if I can have my car insurance transferred to my new agent. She says they cant do that, but it has to be done by the other agent(which is not true). I have tried to get this done several times of the past year and a half to no avail. Thankfully statefarm has newly introduced an online option to change your agent so now I'm finally done with them. I'm honestly very easy to please but it's ridiculous trying to get things done with this agency. If your still reading I want to let you know I wrote this to hopefully help others avoid the problems I have, and also that if Bill Mccombs staff are reading they will learn to treat people better and actually help their customers. This concludes the longest review I've ever written for some of the worst customer service I have ever received.
