Feedback:
Chace Wakefield represented a buyer on my home - who purposely overbid to win the bidding war and then during the inspection period - tried to have two different inspectors and a handyman come and nitpick my immaculate house to death to beat down the price.During the first inspection, Chace allowed his buyers to tour 8 people through my home. Including moms, aunts, etc. It was one of the most unprofessional things I've ever seen. After inspection, the buyer had a handy man come out to the property to quote some minor repairs - and the buyers mommy (literally, a grown man who sent his mother to meet with a handyman) tried to convince a handyman into inflating quotes to beat me down on price. I spoke to the handyman after - he said the woman tried to convince him to quote replacing windows that didn't need to be replaced. The handyman purposely held back her quote because he felt that she was a waste of his time, not getting a quote for actual work - but to lower the price on the house. The handy man - being the cool guy that he is, sent me the quote for the actual work that needed to be done (replacing some rotten wood trim on 3 windows and a $40 chimney cap for a grand total of under $500 in repairs that this guys mommy was trying to inflate to over $5000) and also a copy of the buyers inspection report which lists the house as essentially immaculate with absolutely no major issues. Shady Deceptive business practices. Once they realized I wasn't playing their games - they pulled their offer off the table. I'm not saying this was 100% Chace's doing - but I'm sure he had some part in convincing his buyer that bidding high and trying to find excuses to beat down the price was a good idea.
