Overall Feedback:

We utilized the Bryson City Chamber of Commerce website to find a “trusted” local business (cabin rental). The cabin rental company was misleading with critical information regarding our rental. We stayed their for 2 of the 5 days we rented and ended up going to a hotel in Cherokee to salvage our vacation. I’ve tried contacting the Bryson City Chamber of Commerce director (I was told by an employee of the chamber that the director was who I needed to speak with) via email and phone to report this issue. No one has returned my call or replied to my email. I would think the chamber would want to be informed and involved in any issue associated with a company listed on their website (good or bad). I am disappointed in the chambers lack of interest in my issue. We will will not stay in Bryson City again during our yearly motorcycle trip to the Smokies.Response to your response:The person I spoke with on the phone is the person who informed me to speak with the director. If you would bother reading my complaint you would understand that I am looking for answers to how you respond to complaints and what actions or investigating you do with your members.Also, there was a two week time period between my email and my second call (my last call) to your office. It was during that call that I had the discussion regarding your ability to assist with a refund. I understand you can not assist with that request. Had you reached out to me in a timely manner to discuss what the chamber does or can do, I would not be rating your office and the apathy it extends toward tourist issues in you local.
