Every year I stay at Canalside Cabins to fish on opening day in April. Neat, clean, rustic, and friendly! John and Mary (and Allen) make sure you have everything you need for a great, comfortable stay! Within walking distance of Grand Lake Stream, it makes for great fishing and convenience. Superb cabins - close to the water. John and Mary (and Allen) are friendly, professional, and run a great operation. Clean rooms, full kitchen, VERY pet friendly. I stay there every year.

We have been to Grand Lake Stream numerous times.The Cabins are Very Clean and Rustic. John has guided us successfully always catching more than our fair share of Small Mouth Bass not to mention the great lunches he prepared for us. We look foward to our fishing trips every year.

John's lodge is exactly what you're hoping for when looking for a rustic (with wifi) lodge near this beautiful lake. I also fished with John as a guide for two days and caught plenty of bass and even got a landlocked salmon on a dry fly. Would recommend this spot to any and all sport fishermen, I also understand there is some incredible bear hunting in the fall/winter months and would recommend staying here for that as well.

I stayed in the Cedar cabin for three nights. It is very well-maintained and I loved the screened-in porch with a sofa. It was a great nap spot. The bed was comfortable, too. You can walk over to John & Mary's porch to use their internet hotspot, but otherwise you are unplugged from the world.
