I'm a disabled veteran I have been away from home for a few years on duty . I was just medically retired due to severe injuries in combat .I went in close to lunch time and the employee was rude immediately due to me moving slow and refused to give me temporary plates for one vehicle then refused to let me take the driving test cause lunch was coming up. ON top of being rude and blatantly not helping me even though I had correct paperwork. She had the nerve to tell me to "GO TO ANOTHER STATE IF U DON'T LIKE INDIANA BMV PROCEDURES "I will NOT LEAVE my home state that I love and proudly represented while in the war and while on duty. How dare you tell a proud disabled HOOSIER veteran TO LEAVE . They told me that my DOD GOVERMENT ID WILL NOT WORK SOON...??? I HAD TO BEG TO GET A STATE ID. I WALK WITH A LIMP AT 37 AND IF THAT ISN'T EMBARRASSING ENOUGH THEY MADE A JOKE OF MY MILITARY SERVICE WHEN I ASKED FOR DISABLED VETERAN PLATES. I'm not even mad I'm just so sad that once I showed my military Id card she immediately starting embarrassing me and telling me lunch is coming I need to come back . What happened to indiana ? 10 years and 4 combat rotations and I come home and it seems that once people find out your military they are hostile to my very presence .
