My only issue with the Northport/East Northport Library is that they keep sending me letters that say my card is expired, but tell me it isn't expired when I go to renew it.

One of the best libraries here on Long Island. I live in Central Islip and I highly prefer East Northport Public Library over my local ones. Clean, quiet, friendly and respectful staff. It's close proximity to public transportation is great (Northport Station is 5 minutes away by foot and the bus stops are within feet of each other). I used to go here regularly before I moved away.

Selection is robust, but my personal feeling is that no library is big enough.

the workers laugh and talk loudly. They forget that there are many people studying. they do not respect the students

Nice library with a good selection. Inside there is a little cafe area, a teens area, as well as all of downstairs is kids. There is a second floor which has nice desks and tables to sit. Great place to study, read, and do homework. There are lots of programs for kids and teens over the summer as well as a kids book club which kids can earn prizes. There is a playground on the outside and large baseball field. Overall it’s a great library for the community and the staff is very friendly and kind.

Sometimes it can be a bit noisey. However, that is because it is a very popular Library with a very active base. It does a real service to the East Northport Community and its establishment and building was well worth it!

Great library, it is clean, well organized and all of the librarians are very helpful. The Northport-East Northport system is really good and it has any sort of book or movie that anyone could want.
