I've been a resident of Evergreen Park for only 4 years,I have nothing but praise. I want to say a special thanks to Sgt. Salazar, my landlord call the police on me and told several lies but Sgt. Salazar was determined to get to the truth, job well done and keep your cool demeanor???

I have lived in Evergreen Park since the year 2001. My four family members have lived in Evergreen Park since 1959. Evergreen Park Police are the best. I never once had any encounters with the Evergreen Park police. Follow the laws that are not just in place for the safety of everyone. Don't speed, don't run red lights, use your turn signal when changing lanes = merging or turning right or left. Make sure all your vehicle information is up to date and not expired and I can go on and on about people not obeying the law or not paying attention. I LOVE living in Evergreen Park, Illinois and the police department is just doing there normal job as every police department should do.

Got pulled over in Chicago by Evergreen PD. Is this legal? I know others with the same story. A department full of crooks and con artists.

Call 911 and they’ll show up 5 deep and in less than a minute. For all the crybabies that like to complain it’s very simple. Go the speed limit, obey the laws, and you’ll have nothing to worry about. Safest shopping in the south side.

If I could give 0 stars to this police establishment I would. They are amongst the rudest, unprofessional and unpleasant police officers I’ve ever encountered. Their demeanor is placid and uncompromising even in neutralized situations where they are called to keep the peace. With regard to the traffic laws, keeping that in order is understandable however, as a resident for almost 15 years what is not understandable is the lying in wait and the unjust pulling over if young people and minorities. Police Officers are suppose to represent safety and morality, it seems now that more often they are representative of something else. I believe this department should be subjected to a thorough internal review by the State and they ALL should have to undergo training with regard to handling situations that are non-threatening and professionalism. It would benefit everyone from residents, to passers by to the officers themselves.

Probably most crooked suburb in cook county. No wonder thiers businesses with signs stating so. Watch out for officer Arroyo and his partner. Will act like your friends and try to get you to incriminate yourself, just plead the 5th and answer simple questions, don't volunteer any information. They stopped me for "speeding" but only wanted to search my car, and ripped it apart and found nothing. Heard cases of them planting drugs on people also to give up dealers, which these people didn't have. They usually hide out on 87th and sw hwy and will pull you over by the church on Kostner and 87th or whatever direction you're going. Hope something is done about this, we are more then cash crops for their judicial system or city pensions.

good officers, i was in one of the parks of the area and i seen a officer pull over every vehicle that ran the stop sign or when to fast, its good because theirs kids in the park or around the school, Great job EPPD
