Overall Feedback:
This place is great. Thank God I live by a great library. 1) their movie selection is big and well organized 2) if they don't have something you want to borrow, they can get it from another library 3) staff is always friendly 4) although they're not open Sunday, Mon-Sat they've got awesome hours, almost 9AM-9PM everyday of the week 5) they seem to have a lot of extra curricular activities here (I usually don't attend them) but they have a lot of stuff to participate with here 6) whenever I have a library fine they're always polite/friendly when they have to remind you about it 7) they let you borrow Video Games and they even have a suggestion box on what video games to buy in the future! 8) They always seem to have plenty of staff to help you. I often don't see a line at checkout 9) magazine reading area is spacious 10) you get a sorta small town feeling/vibe when going here. You definitely don't feel like you're going to some giant, impersonal library like the Downtown Chicago Main Library, I like that. 11) Great location if you want to do some Grocery shopping or go to the Hardware store as Jewel and Ace Hardware are basically on the same parking lot. 12) the employees check the condition of your DVDs/BluRays BEFORE you check them out (not every library does that). This helps so that you're not the one to blame if you accidentally get stuck with a movie disc that was already broken when you borrowed it from the Library. (13) Forgot to mention that the website is Awesome. Its super easy to check what items you currently have checked out and when they are due. Its super convenient. (14) They allow you to have messages sent by text/e-mail to remind you when your item is close to being due. This is awesome to say the least. The only minor negative I'd say is that they're not open Sunday, but hey, with their 9am-9pm weekday hours, the library staff should get a break too. Another minor negative is that when you borrow books, there's small card that is usually attached by a paper clip to the book you borrow that, if you lose, there's a 50 cent fine for losing (and its pretty easy for the card to fall off when attached by only a paper clip). But both of these things are really really minor things. This Library ROCKS and they do A LOT of things great as written above. I love this Library and am so happy I live close to it!
