I think it's a great company. I sent in my application for Internet, talked to Judy, got a call from from Travis all on the same day (yesterday) even after Judy said it would be a WK. Every company gives you an appointment date, time frame 8-12 or 1-5. They had an open slot to come by. So that's a ridiculous complaint!! Just saying. But I really don't think they take that long to do an install.I don't have have problem with this company and never did, I had their Internet for 20 yrs. I'm glad to be back. Modems sometimes do have to be reset, but so did my Microwave, Modems go out and need replaced, so did my toaster. It happens with other companies as well.

I live out of state but manage the phone service for my mom who lives in a nursing home. After a severe storm I was unable to contact my mom. I contacted Giant Communications to see if there was an outage in that area and was lucky enough to be connected with Janet. She immediately verified the situation, put in a trouble ticket, then informed me of what she had done. Within a very short time, she followed up with me to let me know the technician had corrected the problem. When I later spoke with my mom, she told me that she had asked Travis (the technician) to install a longer phone cord that she had purchased but had not yet connected to her phone. He willingly did this, even though it was not part of his job nor why he was there. Giant Communications is extremely fortunate to have employees like Janet and Travis, whose customer service skills represent them so well!!

If you are reading these reviews it behooves you to make careful consideration of what we are about to post. Steer clear of this company! They admittedly know NOTHING about TECHNICAL SUPPORT. They ONLY turn on the internet. That's it! Our Internet telephone wasn't working on their system so we called them a few times. When we finally spoke with a person of "knowledge" that person told us the company only turns on the internet and will not provide technical assistance to meet the requirements our Ooma teleo system needs. We had to factory reset the company modem box because they lack the knowledge to assist us with a different technical issue. So if you have other systems that rely on internet service in order to function, Giant Communications WILL NOT work with you to resolve any issues, regardless of their petty responses to complaints on this forum. And, no, you will not find an account with this name since this name is a pseudonym. Giant Communications appears to be simply a money grabbing scheme with minimal to non existent support. It is worth it to pay a few extra dollars to find a different provider.
