Overall Feedback:
I was a program manager for just over a year and experienced an unfavorable change in management. I worked on a team for a well-known client, and worked very hard! However, a couple of my team members were extremely unpleasant to work with! One was a bully, another was a spy for the new manager, who was extremely unfair and toxic! They all played their own role to make it very difficult for me, and as I later learned, all 3 conspired to make a case for me to become fired from the company because, well, they apparently "just didn't like me". This was a very TOXIC environment where teammates yelled at each other (including the manager, who would yell at you from her office). After I was so cruelly ushered out the door, I felt a major sense of relief - like a ton of bricks were lifted from my shoulders while driving to the unemployment office! They were so very unprofessional, but I wouldn't have just quit without having another job, so IMO, they kind of did me a favor! I was so much more professional than any of them, but was set up to look like I didn't know what I was doing, which was so totally incorrect! I allowed myself to be bullied there because I kept telling myself it was such a great opportunity. But I had nightmares about some of the people I worked with long after I was gone, so I guess it wasn't such a great opportunity after all! Thank God it's all behind me now, but my lesson? No opportunity is ever worth an ulcer or having panic attacks! Your health, as well as the people you work with, are always worth more than ANY "opportunity". And I will NEVER allow myself to be mistreated like that ever again! The only reason I gave this review 1 star is because of the manager I initially had - the one who hired me! He wasn't the best manager, but at least he gave you the space in which to grow, which I know I did while I was there. Can't say that for anyone else though. If you are looking for a job, do yourself a favor and pass on this one!
