Client Review on Hood Memorial Hospital

Feedback:

***DO NOT GO*** My son was having pain in his chest and a hard time breathing, he was wheezing and it could be heard in his chest when I put my much less then perfect hearing ear to his chest. "Hood" happened to be the closest ER, we went there and it took forever to be triaged, when we were triaged the nurse said he needed a breathing treatment. We get to a room and wait 30 mins to be seen, the Dr listened to his chest with his stethoscope and says he needs a chest x-ray, we wait 45 mins for x-ray, then after another hour for Dr to come in and tell us nothing is wrong, the scared look on my son's face and the panic in his eyes when he heard this was terrible for me to watch, the Dr only offered Tylenol and walked right out wouldn't even answer my questions, when I politely asked the registration nurse who came into the room if she could send the Dr back in she snapped at me. After this I took my son from this 2bit so called professional medical center and drove to North oaks ER where they triaged and had him in a room in 10 minutes, Dr came in very quickly listened to his chest and ordered the breathing treatment stat, we were told we were very lucky to make it in when we did, if it was allowed to continue he would have had a closed airway and if you can't get any air you die.. Hood memorial hospital thank you for your failure to uphold proper medical standards and I will be contacting the governing bodies of medicine and inform them with documentation on your practice's.
