Overall Feedback:
We rented from Kellogg Agency for two and a half years. We recently just moved out of the property. We had an huge hole on the side of the house for about a year. This was from the stucco coming off the side of the home. Every time it would rain, water would come into the house. We were advised on multiple occasions “we are trying to get a hold of the owner” or “the owner is out of the country” or “the owner just won’t do anything about it”. The carpet of the home was horrible and we asked about new carpet or even a professional cleaning. We always got “owner wont do it”. In Nov 2017 our rent started at 1275 and when we had to resign the lease in May 2019 they wanted 1500. Yes, we did have have a pet so there was a pet fee however it was not enough to keep the rent going up. When we asked about the 1500 a month, we were advised “the owner wants an increase because of taxes”. Taxes didn’t go up that much. We were good renters. We had one issue with a late payment last July and it was due to banking issue. The payment was made in full with the 200 dollar late fee by the 5th. We recently moved out of the home. We left the home in better shape than we got it. Yes, there was a place where our dog chewed the panel on the door, the screen was missing from a window and a few door stops were missing. However, when we moved in, we were missing the screen and the door stops. We had someone come and cleaning the home. We were still charged for “minor cleaning” of the home. Meaning that Kellogg will not pay for a professional cleaner to clean the home prior to a new attendant. When you move into the property it is the previous owner who cleaned it. They charged us 108.94 for it. They also charged us for hard water on the shower and tub, which was there before we moved in. This was also brought to there attention when we moved in but we were told “yep, that is New Mexico for you”. They charged us almost 300 dollars to do the front and back yard. They were weed free when we left and were cleaned up prior to us leaving. There was no way it costed 300 dollars to clean up the back and front yard unless they got the most expensive company to do it. Basically, what I am trying to get at is Kellogg Agency is money hungry. They do not care about the tenants. They care about the mighty dollar. I understand they run a business but screwing people over to make a few more bucks is unethical. I do not recommend this company to anyone who wants to rent from them. I can’t speak to there business side of there management with owners.
