Great Center for people in crisis. The volunteers do a good job. As far as being a volunteer for the organization not so much. I found many of the people to be clickish and not too friendly. If you are ambitious move on from a Counselor assistant to a full counselor or you might become board very quickly. The center is technologically in the dark ages which is understandable given the limited funds. If you are bright and have suggestions for improvement don't share your thoughts. You will be met with disdain. I made the mistake of making a suggestion to a women named Theresa. She responded in such a defensive manner I at first thought she was joking. After that I realized this was not a good fit for me especially with higher ups being so hostile. I've since began volunteering in hospital and actually feel respected / supported in that environment.
