In this age of "sign a contract, cross your fingers and hope for the best", it is incredible to have worked with a company that creates peace of mind from the first contact until the final product is delivered. It is not an informal and cold business deal, it is a sense of partnership in one's project. Owner Mike Madigan was involved in all aspects of my project from planning to editing to delivery. I also received email updates on the status of editing and delivery. Mike and his team displayed courtesy, professionalism and enthusiasm for my relatively small project: a Commencement Ceremony. They were committed to accomplishing MY VISION for the project. DOUBLE APPRECIATION FOR THAT! Although my job was small in comparison to the large projects which I know they also produce, the team treated my event as if it were the most important thing on their yearly agenda. Our school makes every effort to keep the event classy and respectful in relation to the enormity of our students' accomplishments. We strive to keep the event dignified in order to the honor of the occasion as families and other guests sit on the edge of their seats to watch the students walk and receive their diploma. One reason is to allow families to be "in the moment" without having to jump out of their seats to take a close-up video. In fact, the audience is not allowed to get out of their seats and walk around to make their own recordings; as such, it is of the ultimate importance that the event be captured in its entirety. The videographers from M-1 were so unobtrusive in their filming that there was no impediment to the ceremony and yet they managed to capture a gorgeous close-up moment of EACH student as they accepted their diploma. They zoomed for beautiful close-ups of speeches and awards. They were meticulous in their work and I have scored big with keeping my promise to our families that they could sit back, be "in the moment" and be confident that they could relive that moment over and over via the DVD produced and available for order. It makes me smile each time I recall our experience with M-1. (This was our second Commencement Ceremony filmed by M-1.)
