Smaller than the two other nc aquariums, but very well done. The freshwater section is limited, but the saltwater tanks and species content is excellent. I liked the twice daily scuba diver feeding in the big tank. The educational programs were fun and involved the kids with props and costumes. Very enjoyable, friendly staff.

A nice aquarium; including exhibits for fresh water and salt water. The aquarium is not excessively large. It can probably be seen in about an hour and a 1/2. The aquarium is very child friendly and I recommend it if you have children intrested in nature. Plenty of free parking.

The NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher is a great experience for folks of all ages. You can move through the numerous exhibits at your own pace, taking in the myriad of sea life that populates our shores. The price is a bit steep; but the experience is well worth the cost.
