Officers B. Hall and Livingston just answered a call from us about a disabled vehicle. We initially thought it was a hit and run, but it wasn’t. The van just needed the plastic bottom removed for a temporary fix until we can get it fixed. Officer Hall removed it for us, which was a pain in the butt. We can’t thank him enough and Officer Livingston’s professionalism was evident throughout as well. She’s very much a people person.

Just vacationed at the Tidemaster last week in North Myrtle. On Friday 7/12/19 we visited a firework store and purchased fireworks because the lady told us that it was no longer illegal to let them off on the beach, so we did only to have the police called on us! The officer who came out was very nice and professional! We apologized and explained to him we thought that the law had changed because the lady told us it did. The officer just said not to let anymore off and continued talked to us a few minutes. Very nice guy!!! Appreciate the courtesy warning! Did not get his name but thank you Sir!!!!!

I can not believe the response I recieved tonight from the lady that answered the phone at your office. I am vacationing and spending my hard earned money in your town and when I need help because I locked my keys in my car I am told to google for it! I understand you no longer unlock cars and I am totally fine with that, I wasn't going to ask you to unlock my van. What I am not fine with is when I was asked if I had a cellphone I could google with? You still were not listening to me! I'm not stupid! I had googled for a locksmith before calling you!!! However since I was not on a wi-fi connection the ones I found when I googled went an automated recording that said they did not service my area. I was googling for locksmiths in North Myrtle Beach? My phone service was giving them a different location so therefore they were unable to help. So if the lady that answered the phone would have listened she would have seen I was in a little bit of a pickle. I was with my 12yr old daughter in the dark at little before 10 at night which makes it worse. So much for our safety and well being in your town! We have been visiting here for the last 4 summers and this is the first time we have ever needed assistance. This definitely was not a good experience. We are safe and sound back at our resort now thanks to a very kind locksmith that finally answered the phone and was patient with me while I tried to tell him exactly where we were! It took him about 20 minutes to get to us but he got there and got us unlocked. NMBPD you may want to rethink your policy for everyones safety!

North Myrtle Beach police officer was at the circle k store on 17th and around the corner from the Police department on July 6, 2019 around 9pm, I walk up hello my brothers, my apology to the lady, it was one female, and I stated that, I was the wife of an officer in Miami Dade Florida robbery unit for 13 years and retired at 25 years, also a 20 years retired from the USA AIR FORCE SECURITY POLICE OFFICER RESERVISTS . well I’m black American and they’re white, at the time a fire truck was passing, joking to them I said hey officers, STOP THAT FIRE TRUCK, SO THEM CAN HOLES ME DOWN, I need to go to the bathroom but everyone said it’s out of order, there was four Bicycles officers, One blue ford, and one female, a suv ford WAS leaving, one of the officers went in the store, I was leaving to ask, them I supposed jay walking is out of the question, the officer that went In the store coming out and said ma’am! waving his arm to coming here,I walked to him he said to me Go into the bathroom ?? he walk with me to move something out of the way for me to go in ? the bathroom, I turn to thank him. When I can out I said I thank you all god bless you all and thank you for your good service and please be safe out here, my husband retired in 2006 and we was to move in salters sc, “ but he passed away in 2009, complication of diabetes and heart disease, I moved here to my fathers home of salters. I hope this message I’m posting get to someone in the department who will let these officers know now much I Appreciate What they done for he. May God bless all of your first responder. A big shout out to officer Tony Speedler (last name ?) We own a unit at Tilghman and tonight he made my 3 grand children's day by showing them his car, lights and siren. Thank's man.....be safe!

Well managed place. The grand strand attracts over 14 million visitors each year and somehow the police officer and firefighters find a way to keep all safe!! Love our beautiful grand strand and thanks for everything
