Not happy how trashy the beach has turned. We have been by the noisiest trashiest people this week - we just left the beach and they have at least 15 empty glass bottles of beer littered around them and have a speaker at least two feet tall blasting horrible music and half the time they are not even sitting around it but still leaving the music blaring for people to have to tolerate. Not one person has come by all afternoon to patrol the area. This used to be a nice family beach. Not anymore.

Oak Island Beach is way better. They do not hastle you about alcohol or tents. Ocean Isle is a "New York" type of beach where you can't just sit and chill without being hastled.One other thing...finding parking is easier on Oak Island.
