I only gave this agency a star because it's the only way I could give a review.I'm new to the area.My family and I had been homeless for 2 months.I went in the young lady that was at the front counter was very unprofessional in appearance and behavior.Her body language was that she didn't care to be there.I greeted her first and begin to explain what I was there for she cuts me off and asks if I have an appointment. I explained to her that I didn't have one but what would I need to do or what services are offered here.She says she'd get the supervisor so she could tell me .She comes out to ask me what services I needed.My family and I have gone through some hardships these past few months.The sitting area is small and there were at least six people there.She wanted me to tell her my personal affairs out in the open.I had to ask her do I have to discuss my business out here? She says we could go to her office which was right beside the sitting area.She didn't close the door. She says I needed to go to the social service office and pointed me in the direction.Only to go there for them to tell me that I should go to PeeDee for the assistance I needed which was a lists of places I could go to for the few things I needed help with after being homeless. People who work in agencies like this should work because they have a passion for helping people...not be insensitive to people's crisis. These two ladies should rethink the way they deal with people who are in need. Most if the time you've already lost your dignity to have to come and ask for assistance. You should know that everyone isn't trying to scheme and you shouldn't judge people by the way they look.You never know when you two ladies will be in need up help.You never know when your desk job will be finish and you'll be sitting on the opposite side.I don't know the ladies names but the only way I can describe a very young lady light complected short shoulder length hair.The older one was dark complected very short hair she had some type of scarring on her face.I wish I did know their names but I remember faces.
