I just can’t imagine how much more irresponsible or corrupted the police of Perth Amboy can get. Thank you for making me hate PAPD even more. My family comes to visit me once or twice a year the most and every time there’s something that they go through unfortunately and we go through it on a regular basis. There are hardly few police officers that are fair and true gentlemen. My dad was hospitalized and being the doctor and nurse my siblings had to get there ASAP. I couldn’t tell them about dad because my family wanted them to get back to Maryland safe and we had plans to tell them once close to Maryland but their car got stuck in the middle by 2 illegal cars parked in front and behind their car with literally 2 -3 inches. They couldn’t move at all. I tried calling the towing company and no one showed up at all after saying to me that they’ll be there in 30 min and they (Harbortown A.T towing) stopped answering my phone after I called them in an hour to ask where they are. The police station lady who picked up my call flatly denied to help me and said to call the towing company because the cops couldn’t do anything. I asked her nicely to at least send someone to give out the tickets to these cars so that they wouldn’t park illegally again without even leaving space for the other person to get out and I got the answer “alright let me check” and she hung up. Honestly I don’t know who to turn to if the police is like that who are supposed to protect us. Us being the minority here are treated very unfairly because we know no one and everyone else gets away with stuff that they shouldn’t. I try my best to help out this community by volunteering. It’s been more than 13 years living in Perth Amboy but I don’t feel safe at all since the last 7 years things have changed so much. This is just one incident that I have talked about. Being courteous, polite, not curse out anyone doesn’t work for this town but I was raised this way and I won’t change myself to fit in here. I am glad at this point that I don’t support and would never support the police here.
