This police department is full of officers who are overachievers when it comes to infringing on the rights of citizens. You better not have the audacity to exercise your rights in THEIR town.

These officers are horrible. I called them when an obvious drunk driver crashed into my car and drove away. The Port Hueneme police told me to be honest we are not going to find the driver that crashed into you, and even if we did we would not be able to charge him for this hit and run. After a month I got the cops written report stating that the accident was my fault, how could it be my fault I stayed at the scene and called them. The drunk driver swerved and hit me people called in and confirmed that. I would have been better off if these officers never showed up.

I just saw a video of a group police officers from PHPD harassing photographers that were video recording buildings from on a public sidewalk. It's disgusting to see that we are losing more and more of our freedoms to oath-breaking, corrupt cops like Officer Starn, who's fragile ego and emotions cannot be controlled. She and her fellow officers are the reasons why police have a bad reputation, and that bad reputation is the reason why officers get murdered in retaliation to corrupt police wrongdoings. I support honest cops, who serve the community -- not cops like Officer Starn, who wastes tax dollar money by harassing law abiding citizens exercising their rights, instead of stopping the drug dealers and murderers (people committing actual crimes). I cannot stress enough how disappointed I am with this police department.

The way in which the female officer escalated a legal activity into the arrest of a juvenile was a disgrace to law enforcement. To also say the young man had no rights, in the USA, was hard to hear. Worse still was the fact 8 fellow officers including 2 Sgts did nothing to de-escalate the situation or uphold their oath to the constitution. This tyranny is being watched all over the world.

A bunch of Criminal sympathizers on this review page. These guys are great. If I have a problem with a Criminal or regular deadbeat ganster ass loser these brave men are happy to come protect and serve. And most of these reviewers are being hypocritical because at the first sign of danger they will not hesitate to ask for protection. Be thankful they are better people than the ones they are there to protect you from. People have been breaking into occupied dwellings, where is the outrage with the general criminal element loitering the area?

This department is grossly incompetent. They were on the verge of being closed down due to their incompetence. They do nothing. They are supposed to protect and serve. I have called many times about violent loud neighbors and the man that works the nonemergency must be related to the folks who are harassing me cause he acts like its my fault that neighbors scream at us all night and all day
