I am under the centers for excellence program. I had surgery at the Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle. For a large hospital I have found the personal care and professionalism very good. However, when I was discharged back to the Inn at Virginia Mason I find that I am in a standard bed, but I am a very tall person. When I asked if I could upgrade to a larger bed, I was told the room I got is only covered by the insurance policy. Premera did call to see if I could upgrade, but The Inn at Virginia Mason was not able to accomodate. I did strongly recommend to Premera they should let tall people know of their options before scheduling. The case worker said she would pass it on.
