Was clean and quiet if you want a place that's not such a tourist spot this is it. It's not fancy or have extra luxury rental accesseries. But it was very clean and my kind of beach luxury

Had to walk a very, very, VERY long way to get to the actual beach, and it wasnt a pleasant walk either! I was looking for gators the whole time! Scary with little ones!

We were staying in an RV park in Mobile and went to the public beach on Dauphin Island. We went to this one because they allow dogs. Several observation decks, a pier that does not go to the water but a beautiful beach. Costs $6 per car but we are here on a Monday and no one here to collect the fee. YMMV.
