Extremely overpriced compared to other internet, phone and TV companies. They have a monopoly on the rural areas in and around Randolph County including surrounding counties.

I don't know why I bother writing. If you are reading this you are like me and probably don't have a choice for internet provider. I have turned over every leaf to get away from this co. with no luck. Internet is slow and overpriced. We are all waiting for an option but none are in sight.The CS folk are friendly but can't fix an infrastructure rotten at it's core. But even they don't follow up their words with action.If you are on the RC Board and reading this, you should be ashamed of your company and know that once an option is available your customers will desert you even at twice your inflated rates.

If I could go below 1 star, I would. For starters, the internet will knock out randomly for 5-10 minutes every hour. This is not on my end. 3mbps download for $60 is ridiculous. Terrible. It's basically a scam. Awful support. Literally does nothing. Stay away.

If I could go lower I would. You pay entirely too much for slow internet and horrible service. The tech guys have always been respectful and nice so there is that. Especially since you have to speak to them often because the internet is so very unreliable. Constantly going out and super slow. I talked to one lady who supposedly was tech but she talked to me like I was a complete idiot. I asked her what she was going to do to fix my internet and she says she just going to try a couple of things on her end. I say ok, but what exactly are you going to do because if this don’t work, I’ll have to call back and tell the other tech person what has been done so I don’t start at square one. She, no joke, says that she’s just going to press some buttons and if this doesn’t work call back Monday when it’s not the weekend. So rude. They don’t take notes of what’s already been done because when you call back they always say “have you tried turning it off and back on?” Smh. Well I called back another day because I seriously think it’s my modem giving problems (same problems I’ve had twice before and hey had to replace the modem) and they keep me on the phone forever just to tell me nothing can be done but to “upgrade my internet” and to call back for pricing. Like, I just upgraded last month. I only stream my Roku sometimes. Seriously?! $110 a month for the worst internet. I feel they charge people an arm and a leg because they know they can because in this area you are very limited to what services you can purchase. Unfortunately Randolph communications is the only one offered where I live. If century link was offered I’d go to them and that says a lot because they are horrible too. I could go on and on but I’m done wasting more time on the garbage company. Hopefully if you Have a choice, I have saved you a headache! Steer clear!

$110/month for 6mb dsl (I'm lucky to get 3mb) and phone. Only game in town and they know it so they gouge the customers that need the service. If you're thinking about moving into the area, check to make sure there are other options. If there isn't and you need it, you better go elsewhere.
