A little bit pricey but that depends on which car you want to ride on. We've been on this train ride more times than I can count. We have a lot of fun. The kids love eating on the trian and watching the scenery out of the windows. We usually select the ride to go to Plains, GA as well as the childhood farm/home of young pas president Jimmy Carter. There's a lot of history involved. When you stop in at Plains, be sure to check out all of the antique shops and have some homemade ice cream.

Great time on the Shortline. Check-in easy and timely. Train on time, but few delays. Smooth ride on tracks, good seating and views. Great customer service off and on train. Especially great for kids.

My family and I went for my birthday. The experience was okay. I would SUGGEST bringing a deck of cards or something to keep yourself and family entertained bc it does get pretty BORING after an hour. I would also suggest bringing a blanket! It's extremely COLD in the Americus car. You can bring your phone charger as well bc there's an outlet for that.
