I had it less than positive experience with the nine-one-one and Highway Patrol system early this morning. I came oupon a single car accident near Newton Grove around 3:30 AM.I called nine-one-one and report of the incident. They then wanted to patch me through to the state highway patrol. The reason was so I could report what had seen a second time to the highway patrol. The nine-one-one dispatcher navigated through the cooling system of the state highway patrol.Did the Highway Patrol department told me that they could not help me because I didn't know what county the accident was in. They asked me to call 911 back and ask them what county the accident was in and call tem back. Well I did not have their number. I dialed 911again different operator and had to explain the situation all over again. I asked the 911 operator What county I was speaking with and they said Sampson County. I then asked him to patch me back to the highway patrol once again. I got another Highway Patrol operator and had to explain the situation again but was able to tell them what county. They stated they would send somebody that way.Apparently have been living in a fantasy world and thought that when you dial nine-one-one that emergency people were dispatched to assist you. God bless these people for the work that they do. But it doesn't seem to be very efficient more effective.All I could think about was if it was myself trapped in a vehicle and severely injured and didn't know what county I was in. They would not have been able to have sent anyone.
