I was invited by the abbi agency via email in regards to a PR event with Tesla. " Hi Michael, I would like to personally invite you on an exclusive road trip to experience the "Nevada Electric Highway" along US HWY 95 from Reno to Las Vegas."I was super excited! How cool! A great content opportunity and an amazing experience to share! Yay! ?I rsvp'd immediately, but never got the usual return confirmation email. I emailed them again a few days later just to make sure my rsvp made it in before the cutoff date. No response, so I called in that evening to verify. Left my name and number and was told I'd get a call back. 30 minutes later, an email pops up saying "After discussing with my internal team, we have less space on this trip than originally expected. Our partners are focused on editorial coverage in traditional travel and lifestyle publications. While I would love to extend a trip, I'm not sure if this will be a fit after all. I appreciate your interest, but will have to respectfully decline." Really? You guys sent ME the invitation. ?I've been on multiple media trips for various manufacturers, worked with dozens of PR agencies and this has never happened. It is very disappointing to be invited, and then come to find out I'm no longer allowed to attend. I was super excited to tour the Tesla factory, explore Nevada, and get a chance to share my experience with my vast following of auto enthusiasts (its about 250k IG, yt, fb). Now I'm just bummed out and unhappy with this agency and Tesla as a brand. Now everytime I see a Tesla product, I'll get to remember the trip that never was thanks to this disorganized agency. ?
